International Observe the Moon Night & Space Week 2019
On 5th of October, 2019 Pak Astronomers organized their annual event based on the "International Observe the Moon Night" celebrations held around the globe. PAS joined thousands of other socities, groups,, and astronomy clubs frm around the globe in recognizing the importance of observing our celestial partner and neighbour.
More than 50 people attended the event that was held in the Central Park of Islamabad (F-9 Park), Pakistan. The public event was advertised using the materials provided by NASA at their IOTMN websites.
Multiple Simultaneous Observation Sessions, 26 Jun 2019
Conditions to observe Jupiter and Saturn are good these days. On Saturday, June 22, PakAstronomers arranged a public observation session to take advantage of that, but apparently that was not enough for the enthusiasts among us. So on Tuesday, June 25, Khawar Ali Sher announced out of the blue that he plans to do some observation at F-9 park and that anyone is welcome to join. Following his lead, Hammad Hamid announced that he will also be setting up his Celestron Nexstar 4SE at Chaklala Scheme 3 for those from Rawalpindi who may find F-9 to be too far away.
Observation Session at Fatima Jinnah Park F-9, 22 Jun 2019
Taking advantage of clear weather, an astronomical observation session was called on a short notice on Saturday, 22nd of June, 2019. Not being a pre-planned event, this information was shared only with friends and colleagues. In total about 50 people joined, many of whom stayed late until Saturn was high enough in the sky.
Pak Astronomers at Pakistan Sweet Homes Orphanage, H-9, Islamabad, 06 Apr 2019
On the 6th of April 2019, Pak Astronomers arranged lectures and observation sessions for the students of the Sweet Home Orphanage in Islamabad. The event was organized as a part of Outer Space Knowledge Day under the Access Program of the US State Deparment.
Astronomy night at GIKI in collaboration with LAST, 16 Feb 2019
PakAstronomers Islamabad and Lahore Astronomical Society (LAST), with the help of students of Mechanical Engineering and 2019 Science Fair Team from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, collaborated to organize an exciting astronomy night on Saturday, 16 Feb 2019.
Lectures in astronomy were delivered by Alpha Bhatti from LAST and Khawar Ali Sher and Hammad Hamid from PAS-ISB. This was followed by a hands-on observation session.
PAS & Cosmic Perspective - Talk on Space Colonization !
Aamna Saleem is an avid astronomer from Lahore. Her recent startup "Cosmic Perspective" and Pak Astronomers Islamabad collaborated to hold a talk and discussion session at the Cafe Garage in Islamabad on 11th Jan, 2019. It was the first meeting or discussion event that Pak Astronomers participated in 2019.
Observation Session - Rahman Enclave - 15 Dec 2018
True to our mission of conducting regular out reach and star gazing events, the members of Pak Astronomers held their regular monthly observation session at Rahman Enclave on 15th December, 2018.
The event was attended by representatives of Rah E Qamar as well as a group of Home Schoolers, members of the general public as well as some distinguished guests from the Planning Commission of Pakistan. It has been an honor of Pak Astronomers to be the leading organizer of Star Gazing and observations events in Pakistan.

Planetary Observation Session - Gujar Khan - 27th October, 2018
On 27th October 2018, Pak Astronomers Islamabad collaborated with the students of Govt College Sarwar Shaheed, Gujar Khan and organized a planetary observation session in Gujar Khan, a sub-urban city on the outskirts of Islamabad. The city is located roughly 80KM (50 Miles) outside of Islamabad, and as its not a major city of the country, the quality of education and opportunities are limited. Pak Astronomers took along its three telescopes and were delighted as the students had amassed in great numbers.
