On 5th of March, 2018, Pak Astronomers Islamabad was invited to World This Morning, a live morning show on PTV World, the national television of Pakistan. The show was broadcast live for an international audience, and was hosted by Shahzad Khan.
Pak Astronomers was represented by Saif Ul Islam Qureshi, Farrukh Shahzad, Khawar Ali Sher and Ali Allauddin. The show was almost an hour long during which the participants highlighted the activities of the group. Apart from enlightening and entertaining discussions about astronomy, the team of Pak Astronomers pointed out their contributions towards science and astronomy outreach in Pakistan. Being situated in the federal capital, Pak Astronomers's unique position enables it to stay in close contact with all the major governmental and institutional setups located in the capital and thereby ensure their presence at the national level.
During the show, the team also displayed some of the telescopes owned by the members. Saif Ul Islam Qureshi, the president of Pak Astronomers, shed light on the role of moon sighting in the country, and how it can be improved with the use of astronomy equipment.
