On the 26th of December, 2019, PakAstronomers Islamabad gathered at F9 Park to hold a public observation of the solar eclipse. A range of methods and devices were used to observe the eclipse as it happened, ranging from solar filtered telescopes to projection based arrangements.

The day started foggy, with the intense fog itself acting as a filter, providing a beautiful view of the partially eclipsed sun. As the activity went on, more and more curious onlookers joined in to watch the rare spectacle.

On the 9^th of December 2019, Air University located in Air Complex E-9 Islamabad organized a lunar and planetary observation event in collaboration with Pak Astronomers Islamabad. In the spirit of astronomy, the members of Pak Astronomers used their personal equipment to conduct this event and give the attendants a first-hand experience of observation and astronomy.

On 5th of October, 2019 Pak Astronomers organized their annual event based on the "International Observe the Moon Night" celebrations held around the globe. PAS joined thousands of other socities, groups,, and astronomy clubs frm around the globe in recognizing the importance of observing our celestial partner and neighbour.

More than 50 people attended the event that was held in the Central Park of Islamabad (F-9 Park), Pakistan. The public event was advertised using the materials provided by NASA at their IOTMN websites.

On the 4th of July, 2019, Muslim Explorers and Pak Astronomers Islamabad joined hands to conduct a Telescope Making Workshop for kids in Islamabad. The participants were given a brief introduction about Galilean Telescopes. They were then provided “Telescope Making Kits” especially designed by Pak Astronomers for kids between ages 10 to 16. The kids then built their very own telescopes.

Conditions to observe Jupiter and Saturn are good these days. On Saturday, June 22, PakAstronomers arranged a public observation session to take advantage of that, but apparently that was not enough for the enthusiasts among us. So on Tuesday, June 25, Khawar Ali Sher announced out of the blue that he plans to do some observation at F-9 park and that anyone is welcome to join. Following his lead, Hammad Hamid announced that he will also be setting up his Celestron Nexstar 4SE at Chaklala Scheme 3 for those from Rawalpindi who may find F-9 to be too far away.

Taking advantage of clear weather, an astronomical observation session was called on a short notice on Saturday, 22^nd of June, 2019. Not being a pre-planned event, this information was shared only with friends and colleagues. In total about 50 people joined, many of whom stayed late until Saturn was high enough in the sky.

On the 6th of April 2019, Pak Astronomers arranged lectures and observation sessions for the students of the Sweet Home Orphanage in Islamabad. The event was organized as a part of Outer Space Knowledge Day under the Access Program of the US State Deparment.

PakAstronomers Islamabad and Lahore Astronomical Society (LAST), with the help of students of Mechanical Engineering and 2019 Science Fair Team from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, collaborated to organize an exciting astronomy night on Saturday, 16 Feb 2019.

Lectures in astronomy were delivered by Alpha Bhatti from LAST and Khawar Ali Sher and Hammad Hamid from PAS-ISB. This was followed by a hands-on observation session.

A short observation meeting was called on a short notice to take advantage of the clear sky.
